New Website.
Hi there,
As you may have noticed, the original DreadfulDecoding website has been taken down ever since February 2025.
This action was prompted by an abusive legal holder who sent many DMCA takedown requests to Google in regards to the blogger.
Unfortunately, Google’s (Blogger) appeal system is incredibly difficult to deal with; as of today, we have no means to restore the blog.
So for now, I am in the process of backing up most of DD’s projects on this website to make access easier than relying on the Wayback Machine.
As for the company that issued the DMCA takedowns: while I can’t risk naming them, it’s worth noting that they don’t actually hold any license related to Sword Art Online. Quite the irony?
Anyways, this website isn’t hosted on any CMS tied to strict terms and conditions, meaning no content will be taken down. That said, out of respect, I prefered to remove any content that ended up being licensed by Yen Press.
We (the DreadfulDecoding staff) recently got to talk a bit with Gsimenas again; we wish him the best and hope that life treats him well.
I’d like to clarify that no new projects will be published under DreadfulDecoding’s name unless Gsimenas and/or Mttblue2 participate in or approve the project.
